Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of easelandermine.com, operated by Michael Scheuerman, a sole proprietor doing business as Easel & Ermine ("we"). By placing an order or requesting a preview, you agree to them.

1. The service

We provide AI-generated pet portraits (digital files and optional printed products). You must be 18 or older to use the service.

2. AI-generated content disclosure

Portraits are generated by artificial-intelligence image models from the photo you provide. Results are artistic interpretations; details (for example, markings or background) may differ from your photo. Generated images may carry an invisible digital watermark (such as Google SynthID) identifying them as AI-generated.

3. Your content

You must own the photo or have permission to use it (for example, a photo you took). Do not upload photos that include people, especially children, or photos you don't have rights to. You grant us a limited license to use your submissions solely to create and deliver your order and provide support. We do not use your submissions in our marketing without your separate written permission.

4. Prohibited requests

No unlawful, hateful, sexual, violent or harassing content; no impersonation of real people or artists; no trademarked characters or brands. We may refuse or refund any order at our discretion.

5. License to your delivered files

We grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, personal-use license to the delivered files: you may print, frame, gift and share them on social media. Commercial use (resale, merchandise, logos) requires our written permission. Because AI-generated images may not be protected by copyright, we cannot grant exclusive copyright ownership.

6. Prices, payment & delivery

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on the site and again before you pay. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. Applicable sales tax, if any, is calculated and shown at checkout. Digital portraits (including extra styles, the 8-style bundle and the holiday card pack) are delivered by email as download links, normally within minutes of payment. Prints (posters, framed posters and canvases) are made to order by our print partner and normally arrive in about 5–7 business days; US shipping is included in the print price and we currently ship to US addresses only. Download links stay active for 30 days.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." AI output can be imperfect or unexpected. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
